Training Is the Difference Maker A $4,000,000 training center was built in 2002 to provide the premier state-of-the-art training facility in Northwest Ohio. The privately funded project and ongoing training is the result of cooperation between the Mechanical Contractors Association of Northwest Ohio and UA Local 50 Plumbers, Steamfitters, and Service Mechanics. Workers in the industry train, learn and certify in all aspects of the Mechanical Trades including welding, plumbing, hydronics, heating and air-conditioning, backflow certification, medical gas installation, DOT Gas certification, valve repair and replacement, OSHA safety, and first aid just to name a few. To guarantee the best workers with the latest most up-to-date knowledge and the experience of over 100 years, PIPE trains continually. The 5 year apprenticeship program ensures the proper classroom and hands on training necessary to produce the best mechanics in the industry. This along with continuing education for journeymen and supervisors makes the workforce of PIPE the gold standard. Certifications and the UA Star ratings are symbols of the excellence our customers have come to expect. We deliver the best product at the best cost!
